About me

Questions in natural sciences become increasingly complex and require powerful tools to find answers. I realized this during my bachelor's degree of Biology at the University of Vienna (2016 - 2020). So, I wanted to enhance my broad knowledge of natural sciences with computer science and mathematics. Hence, I decided to study the master's degree of Computational Science at the University of Vienna (2020 - 2024). Besides learning methods for Data Analysis and Scientific Computing during this master's program, my main interests include Machine Learning, Simulations and Modeling. Continuing my academic eduction I pursue a doctor's degree in natural sciences in the field of Physics at University of Vienna.


My Research

Currently, I am researching in the field of micromagnetism funded by MagLearn Project (UCE Krems x Toyota). My work focusses on computational material design for permanent magnets through physics informed machine learning.
My research interests also include advanced optimization techniques, particularly to work on complex, multi-objective problems associated with permanent magnet design. I am dedicated to study novel chemical compositions of permanent magnetic materials that reduce rare earth content contributing to building more sustainable green energy technologies.
While working on my master thesis I have explored the effectiveness of active learning schemes as a method for minimizing computationally expensive objective functions, comparing its performance against traditional optimization algorithms. My work has involved creating a modular Python framework to conduct comprehensive experiments.
